Introduction

Hello there readers and fellow bloggers,

This is Paswera's first entry.

Let me begin by introducing Paswera. It is an up-and-coming clothing brand that is designed by my older sibling, G.H Pasco. I, W. Pasco is co-owner and the in-house stylist. The clothing line is designed to cater to the self-actualized and self-intellectualized individual, possessing creative or artistic ability - and wanting to express this in their wearing of clothing.

The name Paswera is a blend of our parents’ surnames; Pasco and Owera – stemming from both Spanish and Japanese cultural roots. It pays homage to their great influence and support, and is an ode to their work ethics and emotional inspiration.

Paswera views clothing and styling as an economic, political, and artistic symbol that can be expressed and worn on the human form. The brand embodies the feminine strength in character, mind, and being, through the eccentricities and eclectic nature of the female psyche.

It believes that, human culture and history are guided by the nurturing hands of the female character. And most importantly, each individual – male or female possess these traits within their innate being.

Duality and juxtaposition, Paswera is peerless in its melding of culture, emotion, socio-political, and gender mores to create a wearable and intelligent wardrobe.

Challenging the everyday civilian to be worldly and informed, Paswera is mindful to associate each of its collection to a current and relevant cause or issue.

Us two siblings have graduated from acredited Canadian Universities, and are both eager to enter the Fashion/Apparel industry.

In our trek to become visionaries and noted apparel historians (if you can call us that lol), we have lost many. Although our intentions have only been for the overall good, those around us unfortunately did not share the same vision. We have lost many friends. I've learned from this only one thing. The only things of use, are the favors I've bestowed them.

This blog is meant to document Paswera's creation and progression - from its photo shoots, video shoots, projects, and drafts ... all leading up to its Fall 2010 Debut in NY, NY.

We will both be writing entries and thoughts on this blog. We are excited for you all to see what we've been cooking up. :) Please come again to see photos and videos.

Have a good day :)
